You’ve Got Questions - I’ve Got Context
- Maybe you’re writing a book and need insight into religious trauma, spiritual abuse, or the aftermath of faith deconstruction.
- Maybe you’re a student trying to understand cult dynamics for a research project.
- Perhaps you’re working on a documentary, a thesis, or training content for professionals who want to support people affected by high-control systems.
- Or maybe you’re simply curious and you want to get it right.
Whatever your reason for seeking consultation, you’re in the right place.
This isn’t clinical therapy. It’s professional consultation, a chance to talk with someone who knows this field from the inside and outside: academically, clinically, and personally. I don’t just work with religious trauma and related topics, I’ve lived it, studied it, treated it, and helped others navigate it. That perspective matters.
What Professional Consultation Is
Professional consultation is tailored, one-on-one time where we focus on your questions, your project, and your need for depth, nuance, and clarity. You bring the questions; I bring the insight.
We can explore things like:
- The psychological and relational impacts of religious trauma and spiritual abuse
- Faith deconstruction and identity reconstruction
- High-demand systems, cultic and coercive control dynamics
- How people navigate exit and recovery from high‑control religious and cultic environments
- Queerness, poly identity, and relational diversity in the context of spiritual harm
- How to talk about sensitive topics without retraumatising people
This isn’t surface-level talk. It’s thoughtful, grounded, and informed by years of clinical work and lived experience.
Who This Is For
Professional consultation might be right for you if you are:
- A student working on research, a thesis, or coursework related to trauma, religion, culture, or identity
- A writer, journalist, or creator wanting to portray religious harm and recovery with nuance and integrity
- A professional or team seeking insight into working with people impacted by spiritual abuse
- A researcher building studies, surveys, or academic frameworks around high‑control systems
- Anyone who needs genuine, informed context about the experiences and impacts of religious harm or high control groups
Your work matters. And the more thoughtful, accurate, and compassionate your understanding, the better the impact you can have on people’s lives.

Why Work With Me
You could talk with lots of people about these topics, but this work is nuanced and the wrong framing, assumptions, or surface‑level understanding can do harm rather than good. I bring:
Lived experience - I’ve walked the path many of your audiences are living.
Clinical context - I understand psychological complexity and trauma dynamics, and can translate that into practical language for professional use.
Cultural understanding - I’m familiar with the layers of identity; including LGBTQIA+ and poly experiences that show up post‑faith exit.
Clarity and compassion - You won’t get jargon or judgement; you’ll get insight you can actually use.
This is about strengthening your work; not selling you something you don’t need. It’s about giving you grounded, honest, and informed perspective so your project resonates with integrity and depth.
